There's nowhere for it to go anymore the heat of this love
Japan sighed as he laid in his futon. It was painful how the blonde never noticed. It was hard to say those three simple words. He didn't know how to say his feelings, didn't know how to show them. Was there an easier way to make America notice? Was there an easier way to say those three words? He sighed and rolled over. He couldn't think of any ways, no matter what he tried, the American never noticed. He fell asleep with those thoughts.
The grey clouds
The monochrome clamor
The sunlight casts a shadow
The twilight changes color
The next day was really cloudy, but he still hung out with America in the park. They were sharing an icecream cone, even though it embarassed Japan. He was hoping that it would make America realize that only couples did this. But of course he didn't notice. A few hours had passed before they finally said their goodbyes.
"Aishiteru," Japan whispered after America was out of earshot. Why couldn't he say it when he could hear him? Why couldn't America pick up the hints?
It hurts so much...
The world blurs
Even so, will I still love you
I know this
But what should I do
How can I
What should I
What an idiot... I am
Japan was sitting at home again, wondering what to do. He felt so restless when he wasn't with America. It was so weird, but all he could think of were ways to get him to notice. No matter how many times Japan practiced, he could never say 'I love you' to America when he met up with him. He has tried so many things, that he gave up on hints. No matter how many hints he dropped, America didn't take any notice of them. Japan wonders if he ignored some of them. There was no way someone could be that dense, right?
Let's go
This is war
Just seeing you so happy
Ardent love is a sin
I'll show you my feelings
Japan felt something inside of him snap. He was losing his mind. He shut himself from the world. He saw America with England a few days ago. He saw them kiss. How could he not have know? He felt like such an idiot! Was the American laughing at his feeble attempts the whole time? A few tears fell from his eyes. These weren't tears of sadness. These were tears of anger, of frustration. He'd show him. He wasn't going to give up.
The megaphone I shouted into has broken
However much I stretch
I'm not in your field of vision
He had been shut up in his room for a few weeks. America became worried and went to visit him. He didn't know why Japan refused to see anybody. He even refused to see Germany and Italy, and they were his best friends! He finally arrived at Japan's house and he knocked on the door.
"Japan? It's me. I know you're in there."
No response. America waited a bit then knocked on the door again.
"Japan, please open the door. Don't you want to see me? Aren't you lonely in there all by yourself?"
Ah, the sky cleared before
I knew it and it doesn't suit me
I can't hold my feelings back
How can I
What should I
Japan hesistated. Should he open the door? Shouldn't he be eager to see the one he loved? He wasn't sure what to feel at the moment. He walked to the door and opened it a bit. He couldn't help it. He missed America more than anything. He didn't understand why he came to check on him, but he didn't care. He wanted to feel happy but he couldn't. He looked at America and felt so many emotions crash over him. Something inside him tore as he looked at those pretty blue eyes.
Because I'm not going to cry
"Hey Japan." America said, giving Japan a soft smile.
"Hello, America," Japan said as he looked at the floor. America frowned at this. He put his hand under Japan's chin and tilted it up so he was looking at him. He gasped when he saw the tears falling from Japan's eyes.
I love you
"H-Hey. What's wrong Japan?" America asked, hoping he could cheer him up. Japan shook his head.
"I-I can't tell you. You're with England, right?" America gave him a confused look.
"No? What makes you think that?"
"I saw him kiss you. You like him, don't you?"
"No! I pushed him away, didn't you see that?" America said, flustered that Japan got the wrong idea from that. Japan couldn't help it. He couldn't hold it back. If he was going to say it, now was the time.
"A-America... Aishiteru!"
I'm fighting
Shooting for the heart
I didn't choose this way
I'll show you how my skirt flutters
And steal your gaze away
America stared at him with wide eyes. "W-What?"
"A-Aishiteru..." Japan said forcing himself to look at America. America took a step back, not knowing how to respond. Now that he thought about it... How stupid he was! He should have seen this coming!
Japan felt more tears well up. Why won't he say anything? Why did he look so shocked? This was to much. He knew what was coming next. He was going to get rejected! He didn't want that! He couldn't take it! Japan tried to shut the door but America quickly caught it. He pulled Japan close, breaking his rule about personal space, and gave him a passionate kiss.
Prepare for a counterattack
I'm fighting a losing battle
Love is blindness
Your kiss opens my eyes
"I love you too Japan," America said as he broke from the kiss. Japan stared at him with wide eyes full of tears.
America gave a nervous laugh. "I didn't know you felt the same. But I guess I should've, huh? You dropped a lot of hints on me."
Japan just stood there, not knowing what to say. If this was a dream, he never wanted to wake up. He pressed himself close to him, wanting to feel him, to make sure this was real. America smiled and hugged him, giving him another kiss.

Mr. Kirkland set two pills in Alfred’s hand, smile now gone. “Take these, it’ll bring your fever down and get rid of your headache.” His mind was a jumble of everything, trying to sort out just what he would say to the teenager. How could he explain the deal without scaring the student away or completely breaking down mentally? The simple answer,
He couldn’t.
He sat down on the loveseat that rested adjacent to the couch Al laid on. He didn’t look as bad as before that was obvious, but his cheeks were flushed with fever and he shivered even though sweat beaded down his forehead. Arthur’s heart ached

USUK Thirty Day Challenge: Holding Hands
"Alfred?"
The American looked up from the screen and raised an eyebrow, slightly annoyed. "Sup?" He had been rather content with sitting on his couch and watching his Marvel movie marathon, so content he forgot he had a house guest currently staying.
Hands on hips, England scowled down at the younger nation. Of course he would find him sitting on his fat arse and ignore his needs. 'I didn't raise some pig,' he thought as he walked around the couch, 'But most likely he threw away every single piece of advice I gave him. No wonder his so called democracy is failing.' Now if he had been talking to America about something else, he wouldn't have

Alfred’s eyelids fluttered open as bright sunlight flooded his vision, making him groan a little. He couldn’t breathe out his nose still, but the headache was gone for now. Apparently those pills did help him after all. He didn’t know if his fever was still there or not, but he felt a hell lot better.
He rolled off the couch and struggled to get to his feet, muscles sore and stiff
